There is an art to self-deception, not the loud and obvious lie but the polished one. The kind that lets you look in the mirror and still feel clean, still feel like a good and decent person with a whole identity.
We are skilled at editing our own story, especially around sex and power, the two forces that move people like tides move the sea.
You don’t want her… you “just appreciate beauty.”
You’re not competing… you “value excellence.”
You’re not manipulating… you’re “good at reading energy.”
The words sound noble but the energetic impulse underneath is usually a lot simpler.
The mind works like a careful publicist: it does not erase desire, instead, it reframes it so that hunger becomes virtue or envy becomes discernment.
But… why do we do this?
Because we want to maintain our ideal identity, so we rationalize our desires and energetic impulses to keep as to where we believe it should be.
Look at sexuality.
Most people do not struggle with desire… they struggle with owning and managing it. So they split themselves in two: the body moves forward but the mind pulls back and says: “that is not me”.
But it is you!
Magnetism grows when you integrate what you feel instead of hiding it. When someone is at ease with their sexual energy, it does not leak out through awkward jokes, passive flirting, or moral posturing.
It becomes steady, direct and calm.
Now look at control.
You say you are helping, or you say you are setting standards or you say you know what is best.
Control rarely calls itself control, instead it dresses up as care. But underneath, there is fear: fear of unpredictability, rejection, being irrelevant.
So you tighten your grip and rename it leadership.
Then this leads to ambition.
People talk about purpose when they want status; talk about impact when they want recognition.
Wanting to win is human but pretending you are above the game while quietly keeping score creates tension.
Your energy splits, and others sense it.
Here is the hard truth: your magnetism increases when you stop lying to yourself.
That is when your energy gathers instead of scattering above multiple rationalizations and repressive beliefs.
A spotless self-image may feel comforting, but it costs you magnetism.
This is the magnetic work that we start to accomplish with the course:
