Rewiring your energy

In the previous email, we talked about how the way we see ourselves is often just a habit we picked up from past experiences, not who we truly are. Whatever we focus on, good or bad, grows stronger inside us and shapes our lives, creating cycles that can either hold us back or help us grow.

Notice how we’re not so different from animals in this way. They also learn from their experiences and act based on conditioning.

But there are two key differences:

1. Animals don’t overthink their conditioning… we do.
We defend it, justify it, and call it our “identity” or “personality.” We hold onto it like it’s something precious. An animal, on the other hand, can be retrained to act differently. Even a heavily traumatized dog can learn new behaviors with enough patience and consistency, whether it takes weeks, months, or even years.

2. Animals can’t change their conditioning on their own. They simply react to it.

But we have the power to break free from these cycles.

The key isn’t to forcefully control our thoughts or energy. Trying to push them away only gives them more power.

For example, when we say, “I don’t want to feel this anxiety,” or “I need to stop thinking this way,” we’re still focusing on it, feeding it energy.

Instead of resisting, we need to stop feeding the energy that keeps it alive. Not by fighting it, but by letting it fade on its own.

Think of it like a fire:
If you keep fanning the flames, even with frustration or resistance, it keeps burning. But if you stop feeding it air and fuel, it will naturally burn out.

The same goes for negative thought loops or internal energy blocks. When we stop reacting, stop engaging, and simply observe them without attachment, they lose their grip on us.

This doesn’t mean ignoring or suppressing this energy and thoughts. It means allowing them to exist without fueling them. To do this, you need to become aware of the internal blocks, contractions, inner voices, or impulses you have. Only then can you see how you’re feeding them.

Instead of trying to “fix” or “get rid of” uncomfortable feelings, we can sit with them, acknowledge them, and watch as they dissolve. Without energy, they can’t survive.

What is the most powerful realization of all this?

You are not your conditioning. You are the one who can rewire it.

You are not your reactions, impulses or blocks. You are beyond what you perceive as good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant. You are the Will behind it all.
