We all feel different impulses during the day: eating junk food, punching someone, running away, hiding, etc. These are all impulses that we may experience during any given day.
If you track them — and if you are honest with yourself — you’ll know they are there, among so many others.
Some of them you may give in to — like treating yourself with McDonald’s and Netflix today — while others you severely repress, such as not punching your boss in the face.
But all these impulses arise inside us and have an associated energy. If we constantly give in to the impulses, then this will be a predominant energy that our magnetism will be infused with — maybe one of aggressiveness, laziness, overeating, etc.
And if we are constantly repressing… well, you know the problems with that. A repressed energy will only come out in other ways, not necessarily good for you, such as illnesses, anxiety, panic attacks, among others.
So it’s like a catch-22. You can’t win.
Or can you?
Yes, you can.
You can feel all those impulses, all those energies you have inside without necessarily acting out (e.g., punching your boss) or repressing them. Allowing them to be and flow without doing anything is the key.
That’s why the old Rosicrucian axiom rings so true here:
“Accept everything, abandon everything… and in this way, renew everything.”
