There’s a common myth about magnetic people: that they’re flawless, always calm, always confident, never afraid, never angry. Like some kind of enlightened figure who floats above all human emotion.
But that’s not real. It’s a fantasy. A polished image (like an Instagram filter!) that doesn’t hold up in real life.
As long as you’re human, you’ll feel everything: you’ll get angry, feel jealous, hurt, or resentful. You’ll make mistakes.
Some of us feel certain emotions more than others, depending on our personality and life experience. For example: you might be more patient than me but I might bounce back quicker than you. That’s normal.
What matters isn’t what you feel, but what you do with it.
Being magnetic doesn’t mean you’re free from fear, anger, or insecurity. It means those feelings don’t run your life.
Fear might show up, but you don’t let it consistently steer.
Anger might rise, but you don’t let it control your voice.
Jealousy might flare up, but you don’t let it guide your choices.
In simple terms, you learn to feel the storm without becoming the storm. You stay rooted, even when emotions pass through you.
Real magnetism isn’t about image or performance. It’s not about trying to get something from others (ie. attention, approval, validation). That’s not attraction… that’s need.
True magnetism is the complete opposite: it’s not about chasing, it’s about overflowing. It comes from having so much presence, warmth, and energy inside you that others feel it without you trying.
But that kind of energy doesn’t come when you’re stuck in resentment, fear, or insecurity. If your inner world is tangled up in old pain or constant comparison, it’s hard to shine.
You can’t give what you don’t have.
You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to get rid of every negative emotion. That’s not realistic. The work is in noticing when you shut down, paying attention to what triggered it and then choosing to open up again.
You’ll close off sometimes… that’s part of being human, but you can always return.
Every time you choose awareness instead of reaction, calm instead of drama, openness instead of defense, you loosen something. You create space for your light to come through.
That’s what real magnetism is: not being without flaws or shadows, but learning how to move through them without losing yourself.
It’s knowing how to navigate the storm, and still choose the sun.
