The energy of the world

Energy moves through all of us. Sometimes, it flows easily, we feel light, clear, and in sync. Other times, it gets stuck. We feel tension, heaviness, or a sense of being blocked.

These blocks come from stress, unresolved emotions, or habits that keep us stuck. They slow us down, making us feel drained or disconnected.

We also have energy centers, each tied to different parts of our experience: things like safety, creativity, confidence, and love. When these centers are balanced, we feel grounded and in tune with ourselves.

But energy isn’t just inside us. It’s all around us. The Earth — and the entire universe — has its own flow. Energy moves through nature, people, and everything that exists.

Just like we experience blocks, the world does too. There are places where energy feels heavy or stuck. And just as we have energy centers, the Earth has its own: places where energy gathers, shifts, and influences everything around it.

We aren’t separate from this larger system.

The energy inside us connects with the energy outside of us. When we pay attention, we can sense this relationship – how the world influences us and how we, in turn, shape it.

But we often act as if we’re separate, ignoring how our surroundings affect us.

It’s like wearing summer clothes all year. That might work in a warm place, but if the seasons change, you’ll be freezing in winter.

Expecting our internal energy to stay the same no matter what is just as unrealistic. Energy moves, shifts, and responds to everything around us. Some days it flows freely; other days, it slows down. Instead of trying to control it, we’re better off noticing it, adjusting, and working with its natural rhythm.

To do that, we need awareness — of both our inner energy and the energy around us. It’s not just about how we feel inside. It’s about noticing what’s happening outside of us too.

Our moods, thoughts, and energy don’t exist in a vacuum. They’re shaped by the people we interact with, the places we spend time in, the seasons, and even the collective energy of the world. Just like the weather affects what we wear, external energy influences how we feel.

The more we pay attention, the more we see patterns. Some environments lift us up, while others drain us. Our energy shifts with nature, the moon’s cycles, or the pace of the world around us. Instead of resisting change, we can learn to move with it — adjusting how we rest, act, and engage with life.

Awareness isn’t about control. It’s about understanding and responding in a way that keeps us balanced, connected, and in tune with the bigger flow of energy we’re part of.
