The Will to stay consistent

In most endeavors, the hard part isn’t knowing what to do — it’s actually doing it. Day after day, whether you’re motivated or not, whether you feel like it or not, that’s where the real challenge lies.

Whatever you commit to doing consistently over the long term, one thing is certain: you won’t feel like doing it every single time.

It doesn’t matter if it’s writing, running, cooking, or creating — it always works this way.

Hopefully, on most days, you’ll enjoy it or at least feel like doing it. If not, you might need to ask yourself why you’re pursuing it in the first place.

But here’s the truth: the biggest challenge won’t be deciding whether to take on a project. The real battle is sitting down and doing it every single day, especially when you’d rather go out with friends or binge-watch Netflix.

It’s the same with running or working out. Imagine deciding to run every day, but then it’s freezing outside, and staying in with a warm blanket and a cup of tea feels so much more appealing.

I remember a conversation I had with a friend of mine who’s a well-known writer and makes his living from it. He once told me he never experiences writer’s block. I was shocked and pressed him for his secret. His response?

“I can’t tell you my secret, Bruno, because I don’t have one. I just sit down every day at the same time and start writing.”

That’s it. No elaborate morning rituals, no special meditation rooms, no secret techniques. He simply sits down after breakfast and begins to write.

This is the challenge we all face — not waiting for the “perfect moment,” the “right mood,” or the arrival of inspiration, but staying consistent with what we’ve chosen to do.

Consistency is the key. It’s the path to mastery. That’s why it’s essential to understand your Will and to recognize what drives your behavior. This is exactly what we focus on in the Will Mastery course.
