Adding more masks and layers

Our society encourages us to keep piling on more masks and layers to cover our problems, fears, and insecurities.

We witness many men and women going down that path.

“You must be confident. You must be successful. You must be attractive. You must be fit. You must be powerful.”

And so forth…

The magnetic work is not about adding more masks and layers; it’s not about deciding that now you need to be confident and start to exhibit more confident behaviors, and that’s it.

Not at all.

The truth is, we all have insecurities, flaws, and fears. Regardless of how confident someone may appear, you can be sure that some insecurity lies in the shadows.

We may try to hide, camouflage, or slap another mask on top of them, but they will still influence our lives.

This is nothing more than repression in action. And as you know from before, what you repress will pop back up – stronger than before.

To develop magnetism and true inner power, we can’t ignore those insecurities and flaws. We can’t sweep them under the rug and hope for the best.

Quite the opposite. We need to look straight at them and face them with radical honesty. You won’t dress them up nicely or pull wool over your eyes. If it’s ugly, then it’s ugly.

Only this way can you truly understand your insecurities and eventually integrate them into yourself. It then becomes something you can expand rather than something that’s constantly contracting.

And then, true inner power can finally unfold. Not a fake temporary power or magnetism, but a power based on authenticity and an expression of your true self.
