Consciously decide or perish

Whatever you decide to do, really commit to it. Treat each action as if it’s your last. As if it’s the most important thing you could be doing at that moment.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re washing the dishes, tidying the backyard, playing with your children, or doing the most boring and mundane task imaginable. The key is actively choosing and embracing whatever you’re engaged in.

This makes you responsible for what you do. It’s about taking ownership instead of pointing fingers at the government, society, or your neighbor.

Even if you choose not to decide, even if you postpone, it’s still a decision. You’re still deciding whether or not to act, so make it a conscious decision.

You might wonder, “What about actions I’m compelled to take? I want to do something else, but I’m forced into X.”

That’s true, but it’s still a choice.

Even if it’s a choice between taking a certain action or dying, it’s still a choice. And within that choice lies your freedom.

Remember, you’re in control of your actions and behaviors. If you don’t feel this way, something’s wrong.

Perhaps you’re giving your power away to external forces—individuals, groups, or circumstances.

Maybe you are giving your power away to internal impulses – and then your actions stop being a choice but they become something you HAVE to do. Addiction isn’t a conscious decision; it’s something you feel compelled to do. It’s not a choice; it’s a blind impulse driving your actions.

Discovering your will is discovering your freedom. It’s not about doing whatever you want whenever you want, but consciously choosing your actions despite the numerous impulses and temptations you face.

Feeling is the secret

Here’s an interesting quote by Neville Goddard:

“The mechanism of creation is hidden in the very depth of the subconscious, the female aspect or womb of creation. The subconscious transcends reason and is independent of induction.

It contemplates a feeling as a fact existing within itself and on this assumption proceeds to give expression to it. The creative process begins with an idea and its cycle runs its course as a feeling and ends in a volition to act. Ideas are impressed on the subconscious through the medium of feeling. No idea can be impressed on the subconscious until it is felt, but once felt-be it good, bad or indifferent-it must be expressed.

Feeling is the one and only medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious.

Therefore, the man who does not control his feeling may easily impress the subconscious with undesirable states.

By control of feeling is not meant restraint or suppression of your feeling, but rather the disciplining of self to imagine and entertain only such feeling as contributes to your happiness. Control of your feeling is all important to a full and happy life. Never entertain an undesirable feeling nor think sympathetically about wrong in any shape or form. Do not dwell on the imperfection of yourself or others. To do so is to impress the subconscious with these limitations. What you do not want done unto you, do not feel that it is done unto you or another. This is the whole law of a full and happy life. Everything else is commentary.”

Thought as the source of all manifestation

In my last post, I talked about how our thoughts are the youngest force within us, and how older, ancient instincts and emotions kick in much faster than thoughts.

Now, you might wonder: why do New Thought authors, like Atkinson, keep saying that thought is the source of all manifestation?

Indeed, thought is the source of all manifestation, and everything must be subjected to it. It’s the source of all our intentions. Thanks to thought, we can establish different intentions.

For example: a lion can’t suddenly decide to become a vegetarian. Yet, we can decide to eat (or not eat) whatever we want.

This is definitely due to our thought and rational ability, allowing us to have a will and intention.

So why do we focus so much on energy, emotions, and feelings? Shouldn’t all this be channeled to working with thought alone like the New Thought authors mention?

Well… it’s important to understand that when you read any New Thought author writing about thought, you need to consider that it’s related to it being 100% aligned with your feelings and energy.

Neville Goddard wrote it very well and explicitly when he said: “Feeling is the secret”… because in fact, it is.

For you to use your thought this way, it needs to be aligned with feeling and energy. Only when everything is aligned can you have a great source of power in your hands.

That’s what we work on in all our courses. Not just in “thinking” your way to magnetism, but in “aligning” your way to magnetism – integrating thought, emotions, and feelings through energy.
