In the last email, we discussed how a simple key is to work with your body instead of working against it.
But as simple and obvious as this key may be, to actually follow it, you need awareness. And the more profound your awareness, the deeper you’ll know what is happening in your body.
Food can profoundly affect your mental state, and it’s not the same for everyone. For example, for me, onions can have a stimulating effect, while for you, they may make you distracted.
In another example, coffee works great for me to have more energy and improve a specific mental state (just like many others), but only if I limit it to one cup, 2 or 3 times per week. More than this, the effect goes down, and it simply stops working. So I drink it only when I need to and only at a particular time of day, and rarely two days in a row.
This type of awareness of everything you do, eat and drink is an ongoing training since a lot can change. What works well in your 20s will likely not work well in your 40s. What works in Summer may not work in the Winter. What works for you as you are doing a particular physical training may not work when you stop doing that.
There are many variables, and that’s why your awareness needs to constantly be high.
And that’s ok.
It may seem like a lot of work, but it’s not. It’s something you do during your day. It’s not like you need a specific meditation practice or be in a lotus posture for 4 hours to feel the effects. Not at all.
As you develop this awareness as part of your magnetic training, you can also become attentive to everything else surrounding your mental state and your physical body. Little by little, you’ll notice these apparently minor reactions that are not so minor.
At the same time, your mental and physical performance is bound to improve. Suppose you optimize your food intake, physical training, and sleep based on your bodily and mental reactions. In that case, you’ll know yourself and how you work much better than the next person.
The training in personal magnetism is far more than training to become more appealing to others. It’s a training that goes into the depths of your being and allows you to know parts of you that were deep asleep.
